Well, unfortunately cleaning up yesterday threw my back out again - back to 2 Aleve every 4 hrs. And, even sadder...can't pick up Talia & Sienna when they arrive )-:
We're in great shape with 2 hrs to spare before the family lands on Kenmore Air. Boat is clean, cat is starting to remember where his food & litter box are, staterooms are made up, last 3 loads of laundry are done, boat is full of water, berries are washed & ready to eat (blue & strawberry) & dinner (chicken) is defrosted.
The family arrived at 4:15 on a small plane - just 2 other people plus the pilot on it. Dylan sat in the copilot seat so got a great view of everything. The kids remembered everything about the boat & settled right in. Heather decided we should leave right away to go to Desolation so that is exactly what we did, spending the hour trip up on the flybridge as the weather was beautiful, once again. Rod talked to Harv & Jon right before we left & they were out fishing but headed back to meet us at the raft. In fact, they passed us on the way as the fishing boat goes fast. We rafted up to Jon again.
The girls opened up their gift bags as soon as they got to their stateroom. They totally embraced the idea of the award charts & were very busy helping me decide when they should get stickers. It definitely has started out as an incentive to: wear their life jackets, clean up their toys, help take plates & glasses to/from the flybridge. Definitely have to work this one!!!
Everyone was happy to see Sienna & Talia (& Heather & Dylan). And, Jon & Lois gathered up the little girls & the dogs and took them on a dinghy ride while we settled in. We had a late dinner for the girls (around 8) & they were off to bed by 9:00...long day for them.
