We left Pierre's about 11:00 to head for Shawl Bay - a very funky (best description I can think of) marina that we visited last year. Definitely a hippy throw back! It only took about an hour going slow to get there. Once we arrived we visited with a boat across from us that we'd seen at Echo. They told us that the couple that had been hired to work & live here (she was doing the lunch cooking which was new this year) had just been fired. The owner's wife has been taking care of her father in Vancouver & had just come for a few days...apparently the ladies did not get along or that's the speculation anyway. I guess you can find drama anywhere.
There was a 5:00 happy hour tonight with appetizers. We barbequed steaks & had hash browns & leftover cole slaw for dinner. Then we were serenaded by a bag pipe player in the evening on the dock.
